First, let me introduce myself. I am Saskia, a 27 year old Dutch girl living in Amsterdam with my dog, Murphy. I've been working for Child protective services(CPS) for a year and a half now. Before getting my degree in Social work I modelled internationally for 3 years. And although my life has played out exactly the way I planned it years ago, I recently found myself not as content as I'd expected to be. Let me tell you why...

I was always the person that was ahead with growing up. At quite a young age I was the 'responsible' and 'stable' one. I was pretty comfortable in my skin and the person that I was becoming. I'd never really been in a position where I didn't know what I wanted in life. So I planned it all out. After high school, model a few years just for the experience and the fun, then get a bachelors degree and end up working for CPS, next step was to buy a house. And here I am at 25 years old, I made it to the step of buying a house. Or at least I gave it a shot. And that was the moment I discovered, just as anyone else nowadays, that buying a house is nearly impossible. So I found myself at a crossroad.

So I took the step of reaching out to my coach and watching the discovery process. I got asked the question:

"What does your life look like when money or time isn't a factor?"

And that made it all click for me. I completely altered my dreams and goals to the income I knew I’ll have for the rest of my life, instead of looking at the ‘how’ to achieve bigger goals. I realized I became so comfortable with walking the path I paved when I was 17 years old, the responsible and safe one, which meant I stopped dreaming. Becoming an adult and maturing at a young age has stopped me from embracing the unexpectedness in my life. And the crazy thing that I came to realize, is that I've always felt older than my age. But since I started my online business and started investing the time and energy in myself, I feel younger than my age again! My life could be looking SO different in 5 years than what I thought it would look.

So I started dreaming. I want a slow life, a house with a big garden near a forest or park. I want to open up the doors in the morning with a coffee in my hand, seeing my dogs run outside and having more moments of peace in my life than the constant rushing to places. This made me embark on this journey with Learn to Live, and it has brought me so much more than just a different income source!
